Patti Davis

The Entertainer

August 29, 1998

Atlanta, GA     Opening for such huge stars, as the Bellamy Brothers, is
just the right kind of stepping stone, that is leading to a successful
career for this young woman from New Jersey.

Patti Davis had lived in California for a number of years, where around
the age of eleven first picked up a guitar and singing, really never
knowing what could be down the road for her. Then her musical
influences leaned toward the Eagles and Emmy Lou Harris. As time went
on she began writing and singing which Patti refers to as, "mellow
country".

Patti now performing up north recently did a showcase at the Bluebird
Cafe in Nashville. Her sound is good, clean, country folk. She has a
very diverse quality to presentation. I hear an Emmy Lou Harris ring,
but as a friend of mine said, who has heard Patti, "a touch of  Crystall
Gayle". The blending is good and makes for extremely easy listening to
these original songs ranging from lively toe-tapping country to soft
ballads.

"Smoky Mountains, I'll Be Coming Back To You" did exceptionally well in
Europe, making the charts overseas. Patti Davis has won the New Music
Show contest, sponsored bv WYNY in New York. There has been a new
light on the horizon for Patti Davis.

Recently Patti was informed that Airborne Records, out of Nashville
was interested in hearing more of this young country singer, so things
may be happening for this singer, songwriter.

I feel if she takes from all the  experiences she has had and add it to
the one she is going to have, Patti Davis can easily find a comfortable
place in country music.
